Esteban Rodriguez & Patrick Whitfill: Poetry in Conversation

Join us for a reading and conversation in the Barret Room at the Spartanburg Library Headquarters with Hub City Press poet Esteban Rodriguez and his editor and Wofford professor Patrick Whitfill!

Esteban Rodríguez’s debut collection Dusk & Dust explores the lives of the generations who have made their homes along the US-Mexico border, in a landscape too often neglected and forgotten. He will read from and discuss Dusk & Dust with Patrick Whitfill, former writer in residence, Wofford professor, and author of Curiousity out from New Michigan Press March 9, 2020.

Esteban Rodríguez received his MFA from the University of Texas-Pan American. His poetry has appeared in various publications, including The Gettysburg Review, New England Review, Hayden’s Ferry Review, Water~Stone Review, Washington Square Review, and Puerto del Sol. A native of the Rio Grande Valley, he currently lives with his family and teaches in Austin, Texas.
