Mamie Morgan is a poet living in Greenville, South Carolina. She teaches
poetry and creative nonfiction at the South Carolina Governor's School for Arts
and Humanities, where she has served for three years as the poet-in-residence. Mamie is one of 24 poets featured in Still Home: The Essential Poetry of Spartanburg, published spring 2008.

She received her BA from Wofford and completed her MFA at the University
of North Carolina, Wilmington in 2006. She works also as a freelance writer and
full time waitress, and most of her days are spent looking under rocks for time
to write. Mamie's work has most recently appeared in The Greensboro Review.
